California Pro Hac Vice Admission
The State Bar of California governs pro hac vice admission for the California superior courts. Out-of-state attorneys must associate with local California counsel to appear before the superior courts.

The following is required for pro hac vice admission in California:
Application for Admission Pro Hac Vice, served in accordance with the Code of Civil Procedure. There is no formal application, but moving papers serve as the application.
Notice of Hearing, served on all parties who have appeared and the State Bar of California’s San Francisco office
$50 application fee made payable to the State Bar of California.
